Dark garnet core with subtle, brick-toned reflections at the rim. The bouquet is remarkably deep and evolved, letting loose an inviting stream of baked black cherries, fig compote, and dried violets, seamlessly layered over secondary notes of cedar cigar boxes, sweet liquorice, and leather. On the palate, the wine is plush, supple, and medium-to-full-bodied, carrying its concentrated dark plum core over a bed of entirely integrated, silken tannins.
It retains a brilliant structural freshness that cuts through its rich fruit, leading into a savory, gently spiced finish. Sip this textbook claret alongside pan-roasted duck breast, slow-simmered beef stews, rosemary-infused lamb chops, or a platter of aged Comte cheese.
