The Jean-Pierre Guyon Morey-St-Denis "La Bidaude" Blanc 2017 is a powerful, mineral-driven Chardonnay from high-altitude vines situated above Clos des Lambrays. Organically farmed and crafted with minimal intervention, this vintage offers a slick, seductive palate of ripe pear, apricot, and honey, balanced by a sharp saline finish and a signature flinty nose. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in French oak without lees stirring, it captures the intense limestone tension of its terroir.

Jean-Pierre Guyon follows a meticulous, low-intervention ageing process guided by the lunar calendar to ensure purity and stability. This 2017 Blanc was matured on its lees for approximately 12 months in French oak barrels, using larger 400-litre casks and older wood to prioritize mineral tension over oak flavor. Eschewing the common practice ofbâtonnage(lees stirring) to maintain precision, the wine was bottled with minimal sulphur and no aggressive filtration, preserving its silky texture and vibrant terroir expression.

Jean-Pierre Guyon is a fourth-generation winemaker in Vosne-Romanée, widely regarded as a rising star. He transitioned the family estate to organic farming in 2006 He uses native yeasts and extremely low sulfur
