A beautifully expressive Garnacha Blanca with real character and texture. Fresh quince, white peach and grapefruit lead into white flowers, wild herbs and a subtle ginger spice. There's a lovely contrast on the palate: bright and energetic yet surprisingly generous, with a gently mineral edge and along, fresh, herbal finish. Complex enough to linger over, but immensely drinkable.

100% Garnacha Blanca from some of Nekeas' oldest vines, planted on dry-farmed slopes around 500 metres above sea level. The vineyards sit on clay-loam soils with sandstone, with steep exposures helping to give the grapes both ripeness and freshness.

After a light crush, the grapes undergo a cool 5-7 day maceration before fermentation for around 3 weeks. The wine sees no oak, allowing the character of Garnacha Blanca and its high-altitude origins to come through clearly.

Bodega Nekeas sits in Navarra's Valley of Valizarbe, an historic wine growing area in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Vines had been cultivated here for centuries, but by the mid-20th century industrialisation and low grape prices had driven viticulture into steep decline, leaving little more than some of the smaller, harder to reach plots of old Garnacha.

In the 1990s, descendants of the valley's original grape-growing families came together to revive its vineyards and traditions. Today Nekeas farms sustainably across this dramatic landscape, where vineyards climb to 450-650 metres and Atlantic and Mediterranean influences meets. The resulting wines combine ripe Spanish fruit with a freshness that has become something of a Nekeas signature.
