A bright, energetic and wonderfully dry sparkling wine with delicate citrus, orchard fruit and a gentle chalky minerality carried by fine, lively bubbles. Made without dosage and entirely from Aligoté,  it finishes clean, saline and mouth-wateringly fresh, feeling more like great Burgundy with bubbles than a conventional crémant style wine.

Produced by the traditional method from organically farmed Aligoté grown on limestone-rich soils around Corpeau near Saint Aubin. The wine spends around twelve months on its lees before disgorgement and is bottled with no dosage, preserving its natural freshness and purity. Because it's made entirely from Aligoté, it cannot be labelled Crémant de Bourgogne, despite being made using exactly the same traditional method.

Founded by Catherine and Dominique Derain in Saint-Aubin in 1988, Domaine Derain helped pioneer biodynamic viticulture in Burgundy long before it became fashionable. Their philosophy has always been simple: healthy vineyards, minimal intervention and wines that faithfully reflect their origin.

Today the estate is run by Julien Altaber and Carole Schwab, who learned their craft alongside Dominique before taking over the domaine. Farming remains organic and biodynamic, fermentations rely on native yeasts, additions are kept to an absolute minimum and the resulting wines combine the purity, finesse and age-worthiness that Burgundy is celebrated for.

We deliver throughout the United Kingdom with no minimum order requirement. For Mainland UK deliveries, the following charges apply:

  • £15 for orders below £75
  • £9.99 for orders below £125
  • Free delivery on orders over £125

We also offer the option to collect from any of our shops at no extra cost. All Mainland UK orders should be delivered within 2-4 working days.
