This blend of 70% Shiraz, 30% Malbec producing a medium bodied fruit packed wine of dark plums, blackcurrants & figs with a lovely black pepper flavour to the finish.

Made from 100% Garganega (the best grape for Soave) fermented in steel to keep the fruit character fresh as possible, and with zingy acidity to balance all the lovely ripe fruit, this is that rare thing – a reasonably priced Soave that actually tastes as it should – complete with the bitter almond twist on the finish. Excellent quality for the price in what has been a much abused region of Italy.

Nice black pepper nose, savoury, food-friendly palate with some nice weight and grip.

A really good white with concentrated lemon and ripe apple fruit made by one of Argentina’s best winemakers - Valentin Bianchi. It’s very good value – and a versatile food wine, with enough substance to work well with light meat dishes like chicken or pork. Try his Brut Sparkling which we also stock.

A great wine from the vineyards of Aldeanueva de Ebro, Azagra, Alfaro and San Adrian. This is a lovely succulent Rioja, soft and well balanced. A fantastic easy drinking entry-level Rioja.

Adelaide Hills is one of the coolest parts of Australia for viticulture and is increasingly sought after by those in search of leaner, less opulent styles of Chardonnay – very much more fashionable now. This one has plenty of ripe fruit but also loads of crisp freshness – and no oak at all. Drink with white meat, fish with creamy sauces and Parmesan risotto.

A great little spicy number from Oz. Full of typical dark red fruits with a good edge of grippy tannins on the finish for added complexity and balance.

Made from Muscat, Torres Natureo is fully fermented before the alcohol is removed producing a refreshing dry white tasting of apple and peach. Better still we can guarantee you won't have a hangover the next day!

Lightly aromatic aromas of peach and passion fruit characterise the nose. With a zesty, citrus fruit feel on the palate. Reasonable weight and an interesting texture delivered by the palate. Finishing with a sherbety burst of fruit.

Bright pale yellow in colour. Aromas of peach with hints of honey. Citrussy and bright on the palate, with pineapple and tropical fruit flavours, with a long, juicy finish.

This is one of our best selling Sauvignons and for good reason. The False Bay Sauvignon Blanc is made from a parcel of very aromatic cool climate fruit from Durbanville, a small component of richer more tropical fruit from Paardeberg and even a small component from Paul Boutinot’s own Waterkloof estate in Stellenbosch, brought together to create a wine that is much more than the sum of its parts. Fresh, crisp aromatics with lifted green fruit, ripe apple and floral aromas. Flavours of greengage, citrus acidity and a fine, mineral finish. Amazingly good value for the quality of the wine.

Another “old vines” number – Carignan in this case – which can be tough as old boots as a young wine but improves exponentially with age as this succulent and juicy bramble-scented number shows. Sourced from old vineyards north west of Montpellier and kept free of any oak, this is a refreshing red with a modest level of alcohol – just the ticket for a mid–week supper.

Text book Viognier from the Languedoc. A nose of apricot, peaches and flowers while in the mouth minerality and a bit of spice add an extra dimension of flavour. It has the grape’s typical creamy mouth feel and yet despite being grown in so warm a region is beautifully balanced and fresh at just 12% abv. Drink it on its own because it’s so lovely – or enjoy with Chinese or Thai food.

Sourced from two small parcels of vines in the south of France, this Malbec is crafted to display purity of flavour and give a real “gout de terroir”. The first parcel from the cooler climate of Limoux brings freshness and structure while the warmer vineyard in the heart of Languedoc provides ripe, juicy fruit. This Malbec is deep in colour with ripe, plum and dark fruit on the palate. The long finish is smooth and rounded. Perfect with barbecued meat or strong cheeses.

A Vermentino that is grown on the sandy soils of the coastal region in the south of Languedoc, where the sea breezes enhance the freshness of the wine. On the nose this wine is floral and aromatic with fresh, luscious fruit on the palate and a lingering finish. It works beautifully with smoked fish and white meat dishes.

Made by Berton Vineyards in Riverina, south east Australia, this deep and youthful Merlot has all the typical soft plum and blackberry fruit with just a touch of vanilla in the background from oak. Perfect with roast beef or a steak.
