A big-boned style Islay malt from a big-windowed distillery with a good view of the Paps. This is a hefty, uncompromising dram, easily tamed with a drop of water.

Elements of Islay Ar1 received rave reviews and the general consensus is that Ar2 is even better! With coalsmokey phenols and hot spices balanced by a glimpse of honey, this is perhaps even more phenolic than its predecessor - a muscular dream that committed peatheads will go crazy for.

Mortlach translates as 'bowl-shaped valley' and was the first legal distillery in the town of Dufftown in the Highlands, which was formerly called Mortlach. This single malt is a deep amber colour and has a smoky, peaty nose with sherry notes. The palate is medium to full and gives a brazil nut and apple finish.
