Raised by Wolves, Joubert Chenin 2015

The Raised by Wolves Joubert Chenin Blanc 2015 is made from the almost extinct Montpellier clone that has small clusters and berries.

Adam Mason uses almost exclusively old oak barrels, some as old as twenty years.

Adam Mason is the winemaker and founder of Raised by Wolves, his love project under the umbrella of Yardstick Wines. 

With lengthy, successful stints at Klein Constantia and Mulderbosch under his belt (amongst other things), Adam Mason is one of South Africa's established vinous stars. His wines are made from a selection of unique vineyards from his travels around the Cape and are produced in limited quantities, making them rare examples of the Cape’s most interesting vineyards. Small batch, experimental wines like these are at the forefront of what has transformed the Cape into one of the most dynamic regions in the world, the name parodying the constant one-upmanship of winemakers.
