Portugal Mixed Case
Our case selection below contains one bottle of each of the wines listed.
Quinta do Ermizio, Chin Chin, Vinho Verde 2021– Organic
A bone dry Vinho Verde, bursting with energy, showing bright notes of pear and nectarine balanced by a delicious coastal salinity and slight spritz.
Portugal Boutique Winery, Boina White, Douro 2019
A traditional Douro field blend, this has a core of stone fruits and green apple with the waxy, toasted nut intensity that often comes from seriously old vines. On the palate, pear and white peach with an intense minerality rounded off with a buttery finish and hint of toasted hazelnut. This is a serious winner!
Soalheiro, Alvarinho Primeiras Vinhas, Vinho Verde 2020
From Alvarinho's top producer, this wine is made from some of their oldest vines and is very intense with ripe apricot and peach on the nose. A full and textural mouthfeel, refreshing but integrated acidity, spice and mineral notes and a really long finish. Try it with seared scallops.
Cabriz, Edicao Especial, Dao 2015
An expressive and elegant red blend with intense in ripe and jammy red fruits, hints of spicy and toasted notes. Very soft and delicate tannins with a velvety finish, try it with duck, roasted vegetables, pork belly, or intense cow milk cheeses.
Rola, Red Reserva, Douro 2018– Organic
A red field blend – mainly Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz, 30% spend 9-12 months in new and used French oak barriques, resulting in a muscular wine with flavours of dried black fruit, figs and notes of chocolate, spice and presunto.
Luis Pato, Vinhas Velhas Tinto, Bairrada 2017
From one of Bairrada's oldest and most famous winemakers, this old-vine red is a great example of his signature style. Aged in large oak barrels resulting in perfumed, elegant red fruit with delicate spices and firm tannins. Fans of Nebbiolo should not miss this.
