Henri Bourgeois, Petit Bourgeois Sauvignon Blanc 2018, France

A delightful Sauvignon Blanc from Henri Bourgeois, master maker of Sancerre, who now also makes Sauvignon Blanc in New Zealand. It's difficult to better this for value as it is in effect a mini Sancerre at a much more accessible price. Lifted and fresh and zingy with plenty of ripeness. The perfect thing to drink with goat's cheese, mussels or white fish - and it makes a great aperitif too.

Roberto Sarotto, Gavi di Gavi Bric Sassi 2018, Italy

Quite rich in texture compared to most Gavi but still soft and gentle. Silky with plenty of juicy peach and pear fruit alongside stony minerality. Perfect summer drinking or for when you want to be reminded of summer!

Chateau Pesquie, Cuvee Terrasses Blanc, Ventoux 2019, France

This interesting white is from vines growing in terraced vineyards, on the slopes of Mont Ventoux. The blend is mostly made from Viognier with a little Roussanne and Clairette as well.Crisp, peachy and not too oily in texture with a balanced, refreshing finish.

AA Badenhorst, Secateurs Chenin Blanc 2019, South Africa

A rich and concentrated Chenin Blanc from very old vines, un-irrigated and farmed as organically as possible. Flavours of ripe apples and honey and a creamy texture give the wine richness and weight whilst retaining the thrillingly zippy tang of Chenin's acid backbone. It will cope beautifully with roast pork or roast chicken and would do a rich fish pie serious justice.

Tabali, Pedrogoso Gran Reserva Viognier 2017, Chile

Wonderfully aromatic, with citrus and floral notes. The palate is dry, round and fruit driven. Citrus fruit, apricot and pear mingle with gentle acidity to make a nicely balanced and elegant wine. Will stand up to rich and elegant seafood, such as langoustines, but also works well with Thai and other Asian cuisine.

Berton Vineyards, Foundstone Unoaked Chardonnay 2019, Australia

A really good value Aussie unoaked Chardonnay. Nice rounded body with generous ripe citrus and stone fruits. A touch of butterscotch from the lees but lots of fresh and crisp cleansing acidity.
