Vibrant red berries including raspberry, cherry and cranberry on the nose with a peppery spice. Elegant soft tannins with a fresh acidity, balanced by juicy red fruit on the palate. PHENOMENALLY tasty.
All the components come from dryland vines with deep root systems. Each varietal and origin brings something unique to the blend: The Darling Grenache (37%) and Carignan (15%) dominate giving freshness, bright red fruits and juiciness; Durif (33%) from Stellenbosch adds structure, depth and spice; whilst Paarl Mourvedre (15%) brings the whole blend together rounding it off and providing structure and complexity.
What's this then? SKU is a casual band of happy ferments. A circus tent of the Cape's stranger grapes and blends. They will champion the unfashionable, experiment with the known and express the found before it gets lost. Mistakes are likely, fun certain.
