Description
Dark, bright-hued ruby. An expansive, complex bouquet evokes ripe cherry and black raspberry, along with pungent floral, exotic spice and earth notes. Stains the palate with sweet red and dark berry, lavender pastille and fruitcake flavours that spread out steadily and become livelier on the back half. Conveys a suave blend of richness and energy and finishes impressively long and juicy, with harmonious tannins and resonating florality.

Delivery Information
Vinified in the traditional whole-cluster method for 3-4 weeks. The grapes are sourced from the Foillard vineyards in Côte du Py (hence the name 3.14, aka "Pi"), vineyards around 100 years in age. Aged for 6-9 months in old Burgundy barrels.
Jean and Agnès Foillard took over his father’s domaine in 1980 – it was 4.5 hectares that came from his parents – with time this slowly grew to the current 18 hectares, including 2 hectares from their son Alex. The domaine has a big, 7 hectare chunk of vines in Beaujolais Villages, plus another hectare in Fleurie – but they are best known for their vines in Morgon – here lies their largest holdings in the crus.
