The perfect alternative to Champagne, this blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 15% Aligoté fermenting on lees for 18 months. Crisp, citrussy and refreshing with significant toasty and brioche-y character.
- Fabio Motta, Le Gonnare Bolgheri Superiore 2018, Italy
This full and gutsy Tuscan blend - Merlot with 15% Syrah, aged for 18 months in French barriques. Bursting of black cherry and blackberry aromas with hints of violet, herbs and spices and plenty of well-rounded tannin.
- Barao de Vilar 10 year old Tawny Port, Portugal - 50cl
Aged for an average of 10 years in seasoned oak casks, it is a deliciously smooth port with an intense and complex nose and appealing raisin fruit flavours. Just excellent with foie gras, creamy cheeses, very sweet desserts such as creme-brulee or ice-cream or on its own as an after-dinner drink.
