Description

There is a blackcurrant, almost menthol/lavender fruitiness that jumps out of the glass and transports you to a flower-bedecked terrace on the Cote d'Azur where you're eating fistfuls of olives and mindlessly following the flight of a busy little bee. White peach, pear drop, and white and tart red berry notes tingle the taste buds. Good body, but crisp, bright and quintessentially Provencal.

Mistral is part of France's most exciting co-operative. This co-op has an artisan approach to winemaking; rather than blending everything together, members' grapes are vinified separately, highlighting the individual terroir of each of the 10 estates. Everything is minimally intervened with; no new oak, no added sulphites and no cultivated yeasts, so you get a fantastic expression of the highly quality fruit.
