Description

This beautiful wine made from the Altesse grape, is certainly not frivolous. It has such complexity that it knocks Pinot Gris into a cocked hat. Having said that, do not consider it too serious to find totally enjoyable.
It has a clear pale lemon colour. On the nose it has pronounced flavours of honey and peach with hints of mango and pineapple, in the background, a minerality that demonstrates its Alpine origins. Fresh and interesting it can be enjoyed with a wide range of foods from raclette and fondue to grilled chicken, seafood and grilled fish.

The Vines are managed organically with meticulous care taken at every stage.

The wines are hand picked and sortd before fermentation in stainless steel and malolactic prevented to maintain freshness.

"The Vine, the wine and the people" such is the motto of Raphaël Saint-Germain, winemaker of the family wine estate located in Saint-Pierre d'Albigny.

Louise, the youngest of the family, still a student, has already taken an active part alongside her father in the vineyards for several years, and will perhaps be the guarantor of future generations. Initially, the estate extended over 4 hectares, divided into plots, all located between Saint-Pierre d'Albigny and Saint-Jean-de- la-porte, in the Combe de Savoie.

Today the estate has grown in scope, through beautiful extension projects, without leaving the sunny foothills of the Bauges massif, and the rich built heritage of Saint-Pierrain.
