  • Pazo Pondal, Leira Albarino, Rias Baixas 2019, Galicia, Spain - Albarino 100%

This wine  has a complex nose, showing remarkable menthol and cut grass notes, typical of their vineyards, accompanied by persistent floral overtones. On the palate, citrus notes - particularly lime - stands out alongside white fruit such as pear. There's also a delicious saline note that runs the length of the palate, culminating in a moreish finish. The wine is broad, but backed up by wonderful acidity.

  • False Bay, Windswept Sauvignon Blanc 2020, South Africa - Sauvignon Blanc 100% - Sustainable farming, Vegan

It is made from a parcel of very aromatic cool climate fruit from Durbanville, a small component of richer more tropical fruit from Paardeberg and even a small component from Paul Boutinot's own Waterkloof estate in Stellenbosch, brought together to create a wine that is much more than the sum of its parts. Fresh, crisp aromatics with lifted green fruit, ripe apple, greengage and floral aromas are complemented by citrus acidity and a fine, mineral finish.

  • First Drop, Full Fat White 2018, Barossa Valley, Australia - Pinot Grigio, Arneis, Chardonnay, Moscatel

The is a blend of four different grape varieties, each contributing different elements to the wine: Pinot Grigio gives a zesty, citrus backbone, Arneis adds flavours of pear and grapefruit, Chardonnay loads on tropical fruit flavours and a drop of Moscatel adds aromatic floral notes. After blending, the wine is left for four months sur lie in stainless steel tanks. The resulting palate is luscious, with lemon curd and lime brulee flavours to the fore, undercut by thirst-quenching drinkability. There is a lot going on in this wine, which means it is a food-friendly star favourite. If we were pushed to food match, we’d enjoy this one with a bucket load of seafood.

  • Katie Jones, Rouge 2018, Languedoc-Roussillon, France - Grenache & Carignan

This wine delivers a wonderful authentic feel - very generous on the nose and palate with tayberry fruit in abundance. There is nuanced spice too, which is integrated and lends a gentle complexity whilst not detracting from the easy drinkability. Smooth, lively fruit, pure strawberries, raspberries and a dash of silk with a hint of wilderness.

  • Tabali, Pedregoso Carmenere Gran Reserva 2020, Chile - Carmenere100%

This old vine Carmenere is aged in French oak for 10 months and displays intense dark fruits and floral aromas with spice and chocolate notes complemented by silky tannins.

  • Domaine de Noire, Elegance Chinon Rouge 2018, France - Cabernet Franc 100% - Organic

Ripe red fruit and fresh herbs with smoky, leafy overtones, it is an excellent representation of variety and region. Tannins are grippy, but velvety and give a nice chew to this bright and pure wine. Lovely, sweet finish. Matches well with chicken, veal and roasted meat.
