The 10 hectare estate is planted to 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Carmenere, with an average vine age of 35 years. The wine is aged in 50% to 60% new, French oak barrels for 14 to 16 months before bottling.
Chateau Trianon has a long history in the St. Emilion appellation that dates back to the 1800’s. The modern era for Chateau Trianon starts in late 2000, when the vineyard and chateau were purchased by Dominique Hebrard, previously of Cheval Blanc.
