Tasting Notes

Beautiful dark and intense color. A fine nose, fruity, sweet and spicy. An aromatic wine on serious tannins and a silky finish. A Bordeaux for lovers of big, rich New World wines.

Chateau Lauduc has been in the hands of the Grandeau family for over a century. Originally a farm with dairy cows, fruit trees and Chasselas grapes, it wasn't until the 1970's that the vineyards were converted to Bordeaux varieties. Located just outside the city of Bordeaux on the Right Bank, Chateau Lauduc is a historic property with wines classified as Bordeaux Superiore, one of 7appellations d'orgine controleeor AOCs. These wines can be found throughout the Gironde and use the same grapes used in top growths. They may not be as widely known as first-growths, but they are delicious and made for immediate consumption. Known for their tasty ros, deliciously fleshy red, and that their vineyards are still plowed by horses, it's no wonder Chateau Lauduc has become Bordeauxs hidden gem!
