Sauvignon Blanc from a rugged vineyard close to the Ocean and aged in old French oak barrels in which the head space is topped up with Semillon component. Ask us why Pieter has just half a beard with a spider nesting in it. Funky pea-pod character; not a bright pea-shoot character, but something a little more deep and vegetal from Sauvignon and Semillon. A touch of earthiness and tobacco again. The palate has a really dry, pithy lemon dryness and agility.
