Description

A light, fresh, floral Beaujolais with plenty of bubblegum fruit flavours. Classic in style, it's a lovely lunchtime or summer red with soft flavour and great balance.

Delivery Information

Fermentation is by semi-carbonic maceration combined with whole bunch fermentation. Maceration lasts around 10 days. This allows the wine to get the tannic structure required for ageing. Bottling is after the Easter following the harvest, for a cellaring potential of 5 to 6 years.

This domaine has always been a reliable source for textbook Beaujolais Villages and Fleuries. However, in recent years there have been great happenings here, largely due to the running of the domaine being transferred to Andre`s son, Serge. New technology has been invested in and there is now a modern and dynamic feel to the domaine. The wines are now more pronounced and precise; the Beaujolais Villages is packed with ripe, lively, red fruits, while the Fleurie has a seductive mouth-feel and a cornucopia of summer-pudding fruits on the palate.
