Description

The 2.52 ha vineyard of La Gomerie is planted to 100% Merlot (old vines). Extensive work takes place in the vineyard. After harvest, the fruit is sorted three times, before and after destemming. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks. MLF and ageing in 100% new French oak barriques. Only 800 cases a year. "Dark and healthy looking. Very silky and perfumed and sleek on the nose. There has been an enormous amount of work to make this wine smooth and almost burgundian in its sweetness Ã¢â‚¬â€œ very distinctive. Could just do with a tad more juice in the middle. The nose is lovelyÃ¢â‚¬Â¦"

La Gomerie is owned by the�Becot�family, who also owned Chateau�Beau-Sejour Becot�and�Joanin Becot. The�2.52 hectare, vineyard of La Gomerie is planted to 100% old vine,�Merlot. The�Right Bank�vineyard of La Gomerie is located not far from the village of Saint Emilion and close to Beau-Sejour Becot. The vines are close to 35 years of age. The style of La Gomerie is forward, lush and sexy. It is soft, round, opulent and soft, with ripe black plums, black raspberry, chocolate and licorice flavors. Because of its open personality, La Gomerie can be enjoyed young, yet it ages well too.
