The wines of Pulenta
Posted on November 04 2013
Pop into Kew on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 November and you’ll have the chance to try a selection of wines from one of our customers’ favourite Argentinian producers – Pulenta.
The Pulenta family has been involved in the viticulture for three generations. Their philosophy is to achieve the best quality in their products and to look after the natural environment. The estate is located in Alto Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina, one of the most prestigious winemaking areas of the province. The vines grow at 980 metres above sea level at the foot of the Andes where they enjoy lots of sunshine but also cool nights which provide favourable conditions for the perfect ripening of the grapes.
The company produce three ranges – the Flor, the Estate and the Pulenta – we’ll have wines from all of them available to try.
The popular La Flor Malbec and La Flor Cabernet Sauvignon are affordable easy-drinkers. The Estate Chardonnay – which is oaked but elegantly done – has just been joined by new arrival Estate Pinot Gris. For a treat we’d recommend the wonderfully complex and aromatic Pulenta Gran Cabernet Franc or the dark and brooding Bordeaux Blend Pulenta Gran Corte.
If you’re already a Pulenta fan don’t miss the opportunity to try the latest vintages. We’ll be selling single bottles of all their wines at case price all weekend.
