Ridge, Geyserville, Sonoma County, California, USA, 2016

About this wine

Ridge's 2016 Geyserville is 73% Zinfandel, 17% Carignane 7% Petite Sirah and 3% Alicante Bouschetand aged for twelve months in American oak. This big, bold wine has an intensely purple hue with ripe dark cherry, blueberry and mint on the nose. A full body and dark brambly fruit are well balanced by a mineral undercurrent and firm acidity while plush tannins add structure. Should age comfortably for the next ten years. 95 Points – Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media, 95 Points – William Kelley, The Wine Advocate, 95 Points – Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com
