Domaine Guy Amiot, Bourgogne Blanc, Burgundy, France, 2015

About this wine

The vines for Amiot's Bourgogne Chardonnay are 45 years old on a 0.5ha site located partly in the valley of Chassagne. The Sout East exposure here ensures good ripeness. The wine is divided between one third old oak barrels and two thirds stainless steel where it is fermented and aged for 12 months.

The warm 2015 vintage has resulted in an early maturing wine with an immediate appeal, buttered toast and notes of the upside-down pineapple pudding my mum used to make and a hint of tarte tatin on the finish. A super tasty comfort wine.
