Storm Vineyards, Moyas Pinot Noir, Hemel-en-Aarde, South Africa, 2014

About this wine

'Vrede Pinot Noir hails from a steep northeast facing slope in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley with low-vigour, stony, clay-rich Bokkeveld shale soils.
This basket pressed, native yeast fermented wine shows great balance and length from the natural acidity and displays richness and generosity with alluring, opulent dark fruit perfume. A silky, but structured palate compliments the voluptuous fruit perfume.
Not flashy or overly fruity, but shows depth, purity and structure – characteristic of the site’s low-vigour, stony, clay-rich Bokkeveld shale soils', stormwines.co.za
