Ciu Ciu Arbinus Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, Marche, Italy, 2018

About this wine

If, like us, you were wondering about the curious name, it does indeed translate as "choo-choo". Yes, as in "train". Apparently one of the family's ancestors used to work on the railways. Verdicchio has come a long way since the days when it came in curiously shaped elongated bottles (supposed, apparently, to depict the form of a tall, slender, elegant, female figure). Clean, juicy and refreshing, with notes of white flowers, sweet tangerine, and exotic tropical fruits.
