Eric Rodez Blancs des Noirs Grand Cru NV, Champagne, France

About this wine

Eric Rodez is the 8th generation of his family to grow grapes in Champagne. His great grandfather was the first to make his own wines, and Eric continues this tradition today. The influence of his former role as an oenologist at Krug can be seen in the style of his wines through his meticulous approach to blending and his use of oak barrels for some cuvees.
The Blanc de Noirs is 100% Pinot Noir and only 30% of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation, maintaining a crisp feel to this otherwise full and rich Champagne. This is a blend of 5 or 6 vintages and is 70% vinified in small oak barrels.
