This is something a bit different. We have managed to find this excellent sparkling German Riesling at what we think is a great price. Its dry and fresh, with that typical lemony, citric edge, making it just perfect for sipping in the back garden on a sunny day!

Very pale in colour but wonderfully elegant ripe fruits on the palate. Ripe apple and stone fruit flavours make this a delightful and sohpisticated alternative to more costly Champagne.

An engaging salmon pink colour enhanced by a fine persistent mousse. The wine expresses an assortment of fresh fruit, turkish delight, rose petal, apricot blossom and luscious white peach aromas complemented by complex nougat and yeast aromas. Layered with elegant red berry fruit and nutty savoury flavours. The wine had great length, finishing clean, dry and refreshing.

An ideal ripening season, long and cool, producing intensely vibrant flavours. The vintage Pelorus has sumptuous aromas that invoke thoughts of a baker’s kitchen… warm brioche and almond flan with lashings of strawberries and cream. The palate is powerful yet elegant with buttery shortbread flavours, a delicate orange tang and the merest hint of white mushroom, leading seamlessly into a very fine finish.

Grower own champagne made from a blend of 80% Pinot Noir, 10% Chardonnay & 10% Pinot Meunier and aged in bottle for three years before release. Full flavoured and a bright golden colour with rich biscuit characters and great length on the palate. This is great quality champagne at this price level.

From a family run business dating back to the 17th century this Champagne is made from 100% pinot noir grapes grown on the estate and some grown by local friends who grow vines. Beautifully balanced with hints of strawberry and raspberry fruit and an elegant dry but clean finish. Hugely popular and great value compared to Laurent Perrier Rose’.

Made up of the traditional Champagne grapes of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, this has crisp, fresh fruit flavours with a lovely creamy texture and good, persistant fizz.
