Good Wine Club Terms and Conditions

1. DATA PROTECTION

a. By providing The Good Wine Shop with your details, you consent to The Good Wine Shop maintaining, recording, holding and using the information provided at the time of signing up to process your orders, to improve our service to you and to inform you of our promotions. All data is collected lawfully and we act with due diligence to maintain it in accordance with the Eight Principles of the Data Protection Act 1998.

b. The Good Wine Shop will never pass your details on to a third party without your permission other than for the purposes of getting your wine to you (e.g. a delivery company).

2. PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATION

a. Once you have signed up to The Good Wine Club, recurring payments will be taken from your account on a monthly basis, usually on or aaround the FIFTH of each month. They will appear on your debit/credit card statement as: ‘The Good Wine Shop’.

b. You may cancel your membership to The Good Wine Club for any reason and at any time. However, we require at least 14 days notice before the usual monthly payment date(Fifth) to prevent payment for your monthly order from being taken and delivery made.

c. In order to cancel your membership we must receive confirmation in writing or electronically, please contact us at: goodwineclub@thegoodwineshop.co.uk or write to us at The Good Wine Shop, 2 Royal Parade, Station Approach, Kew, TW9 3QD. If you wish to discuss or change your membership, please call 020 8940 4482.

3. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

a. It is against the law to sell or supply intoxicating substances to persons under 18 years of age in the UK. By declaring yourself to be over 18 on our order form you give us the legal right to serve you. However, if our couriers are in doubt of the age of a recipient then they will request ID (a passport or driving license). We have no interest in serving minors.

b. We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by our customer handling the wine including spillages and breakages.

c. Customers should be aware that alcohol should be consumed in moderation.

d. Wine cases may be heavy, so care should be taken when lifting them.

e. Red wine may cause staining if spilt, so take care when handling it.

f. Sparkling wines and champagnes can be volatile due to the gasses within, extra care should be taken when opening them.

4. DELIVERY

a. Delivery will be free to addresses in the following post codes: TW1, TW7, TW9 and TW10. A charge of £10 for addresses outside these postcodes will be made for each delivery.

b. The Good Wine Shop selects the wines for each delivery according to an internal selection process and reserves the right to alter the wines chosen.

c. We are not liable for any delay in delivery caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, compliance with a governmental order, fire, flood, storm or Act of God.

d. If any wine arrives broken, damaged or spoilt then we will replace it as quickly as possible. Faulty wine must be kept and presented to us on request for replacement to be made.

e. If you will be out when the wine arrives, we will leave it in the safe place you specified on our sign-up form. Please think carefully about where you ask us to leave your wine, as we take no responsibility for theft.

f. Delivery will be made on or around the 15th of each month.

NO QUIBBLE RETURN POLICY – YOU MAY RETURN YOUR CASE TO US WITHIN 7 DAYS OF DELIVERY FOR WHATEVER REASON,

HOWEVER ONLY WHOLE CASES OF UNOPENED BOTTLES WILL BE ACCEPTED UNDER THIS POLICY.
