A classic Rhône wine sporting structure and finesse made from 90% Grenache Noir 10% Syrah. Intense notes of vanilla, black cherry fruit and spice on the nose, rich morello cherry and chocolate flavours on the palate make this wine a wonderful match for hearty meat dishes and casseroles. Previous vintages have been widely acclaimed in the press and this 2005 is likely to be no exception.

Ripasso style, opulent, generous, jammy dark cherry, chocolate, spices, sweet toasty oak, uncommon levels of richness, density, complexity...can you tell we like this...?

A past winner of the Pichon Longueville Comtesse Trophy for best blended red wine at the International Wine and Spirit Challenge. A wine of seriously fine structure, superb acids and ripe tannins that are all inter-woven into a small master piece. A classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, this wine is the culmination of the Myburgh family's dream of making a truly remarkable Bordeaux-style wine. Meerlust Rubicon is well-balanced with a cigar box and spicy tobacco bouquet. It’s a Pomerol style wine that will age well but will also please anyone that chooses to it drink now. A bordeaux blend from the New World of serious note!

A nose of dusty florals emphasised by pink roses and violets integrates seamlessly with Asian spices of cinnamon and clove. The palate opens softly, staying with the florals and adding fresh berries and a pleasing seam of minerality. Mouth-coating, but never cloying, it is subtle and caressing; a wine of harmony, restraint and sophistication that intrigues rather than shouts it’s breeding. It finishes with enough tannin to frame the wine neatly.
