A mellow Merlot from a family-owned estate in Chile. Intense aromas of blackberry and cherry foreshadow a balanced palate of deep dark berry fruit with hints of cassis, mint and pepper. Something of a grown-up Merlot with a smooth drinkability.

A bright, lively and fresh Chilean Sauvignon Blanc with hints of ripe green melon, citrus and grassy notes. An excellent aperitif or companion to fish or pasta dishes.

The Chateau is owned by the Lurton Family and the vineyards enjoy a warm and sunny location helping the fruit to ripen. The backbone of the blend is Merlot with a smaller percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc. 2007 was a fairly good year and the junior Bordeaux reds are already drinking very well. A classic match would be a roast lamb or beef.

A superb, affordable Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, batch blended using selected parcels of fruit from the Wairau and Awatere Valleys by internationally renowned winemaker Alan McCorkindale. The wine is juciy, vibrant and fruit-driven with a tangy mineral core. It's ideal for drinking on its own or with seafood or white meat.

Gorgeous provencal rose, attractively presented in a perfume-shaped bottle in a nod to the region's other great export. Dry style, but with heaps of red fruit flavour.

A very reliable property in the hands of Alain Thienot producing delightful traditional claret. 2003 was a very hot vintage and this wine shows more appealing fruit characters than might ordinarily be apparent.

Garnet in colour, with delicate perfumes of plums and hints of violet on the nose. On the palate, it has good intensity of spicy fruit with wonderful balance, depth and supple tannins.

A blend of 80% Pinot Noir, 10% Chardonnay & 10% Pinot Meunier. Full flavoured and a rich golden colour with rich biscuit characters and great length. This is great quality champagne for this price level.

A rich, ripe and toasty Pouilly Fuisse from top grower Domaine Vincent. Old vines give extra power and depth. It punches well above its appellation.

Exceptional pedigree being second wine of Pichon lalande, this is stunning value from a lesser vintage but forward drinking but still showing the refinement you would expect of wine from this class of estate. Snap it up as compared to the 2005 this is a real bargin.
